J U P I T E R I N P I S C E S
Jupiter is the expansive, jolly, and humorous planet.
It is open to new experience and wants to grow and stretch to a greater
sense of self. The self-improvement movement is ruled by Jupiter.
So are the jovial business types who finance large ventures and travel
around the world. Cowboys, who live in the out of doors and the wide-open
spaces, are Jupiterian.
Jupiter rules Pisces, so there is a natural affinity between
Jupiter and Pisces. The need of Pisces to be open to
everything, to expand their horizons, and to hang out
with the rich and famous all come from Jupiter.
However, the Neptune rulership of Pisces sometimes creates difficulties
during Jupiter in Pisces periods. With Jupiter ruling economics and Pisces
being dissolution, Jupiter in Pisces is associated with economic collapses.
Hidden enemies and seamy people expanding their powers happens with Jupiter
in Pisces--both Watergate and Irangate happened with Jupiter in Pisces!
However, the seamier sides are also opened to view, another reason that the
uncovering of the corruption happened with Jupiter in Pisces.
Jupiter is the planet of glorification and Pisces rules art,
but especially music. During Jupiter in Pisces musical improvements,
new technologies and forms of music, come forth. Because Pisces is
very sentimental and watery, Jupiter in Pisces glorifies the sentimental
in song. Small animals are Piscean--they are glorified in Pisces.
The homeless, the outcasts, the ghetto dwellers, the poor,
the insane, the sick, and the imprisoned come under Pisces.
During Jupiter in Pisces laws are made and compassion is extended
to the people on the fringes of society so they may better themselves.
Also, many of the plays and books had the poor and the outcasts as a theme.
But Pisces is also the sign of mysticism and bohemias (those on the
fringe of society for more noble reasons). Bohemians and mystics are
more openly admired and have access to money and the upper classes of
society during Jupiter in Pisces periods.
Since Pisces is the sign of meaning and Jupiter grows, opens,
pontificates, and expands, you would expect Jupiter in Pisces
to be a time when people search for a deeper meaning to life.
The books and plays of these periods reflect that.
Economically, this may be a time of inflation (it was in 1974, for example).
This is not always the case, but may be true. Pluto in Capricorn, with its conservation nature, tends to make it less likely to happen.
Dreams, drugs, and faith are more open.
These subjects are expressed in grandiose ways.
